I’m generally not a ‘star-struck’ person, nor do I watch much TV except for a few select shows and news. However; my time with Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) has changed my perception on the whole celebrity experience, and in particular, DWTS. Seeing the celebrities just prior to taping their individual dancing segments allowed me to see how nervous each was and how well each wanted to do. It was much different than if anyone of these celebrities was on set for a sitcom or movie, because it was a real competition. Even DWTS contestants of the past shared their experiences with me behind the stage saying it was singularly “the toughest thing each of them had ever done” both mentally and physically.
I saw stars such as, Kelly Osbourne, Michael Irvin, Debi Mazar, Lisa Rhina, Mya, and Donny Osmond admire all the gorgeous gifts in the gifting suit at the wrap party we (Linea Pelle) participated in and heard them rave that Linea Pelle was amazing! This whole experience showed me that some celebrities actually do take their work seriously and do appreciate fine products and all the hard work that goes into making them. I have been converted to at least ‘TIVOing’, DWTS next season and hope that some of the relationships I forged at the DWTS event will last.
